The History of Micro-Alert cc
Micro-Alert has been installing the “Fuel-Tech” Fuel Management Systems onto petrol and diesel pumps since May 1986. The Fuel-Tech System has evolved and developed as our clients have grown their businesses.
The Fuel-Tech System and company is technology driven. They use modern technologies like the internet, cell phone modems, networks, smart cards and vehicle on-board computers.
The company was started in May 1986 when the late Mr Cundell Statt Snr was a consultant to a software company who was designing a mainframe Fleet Management System for a local city council. The system was a major improvement on their old one, but still had the drawback of manually data capturing all the fuel related inputs. A seed was planted, the Fuel-Tech System was developed and a company was born.
In 1989 Cundell Snr’s other son, Brian Statt also became a partner in the business. In 2001, he took over managing the technical development of the company and its products.
In September 2007 with the passing of the founder Cundell Statt (Snr), it was up to Brian Statt to manage the company and its future growth. In the subsequent period, the company has had a significant increase in customers and turnover. This has lead to a larger staff complement been required and more office space. This marks the most recent episode in the development of the company where it relocated to new offices in August 2011 and the addition of the property next door in 2017.
